Local 8th Graders Awarded an Estimated $350,000 in Scholarship

Cardinal Hickey Academy's graduates are accepted into competitive Catholic high schools

Owings, MD: Cardinal Hickey Academy, a Montessori Preschool and K-8th grade private Catholic school in Owings, Maryland sent off it’s 8th graders in a ceremony at the Covenant Community of Jesus the Good Shepherd Church on Thursday, May 31.

After years of hard work and service, those graduates who chose to continue their Catholic education were accepted into competitive Catholic high schools such as St. Mary’s Ryken, DeMatha, Gonzaga, Elizabeth Seton and Bishop McNamara, among others. Thirteen students applied to Catholic high schools and were offered an estimated $350,000 in scholarship money. Congratulations to all graduating students, as well as the parents, families and educators that helped along the way!
