The department manages specialized recreational facilities, including two swim centers, two golf courses, three ice rinks, a baseball stadium, a softball complex, and programs tailored to diverse needs ranging from school-age childcare to adaptive recreation. LOTHIAN, MD — A Lothian man who fell from a horse Monday night suffered serious injuries, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.About 7:45 p.m. Monday, firefighters were called to the 5700 block of Brooks Woods Road for a fall from a horse. A 51-year-old man injured when he was thrown from a horse.Paramedics took the rider to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
