Lothian Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Crash: Police
A Lothian man may have been speeding when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, Anne Arundel County Police say.

LOTHIAN, MD — A Lothian man was critically injured Monday night when he lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown from the bike, according to Anne Arundel County Police. Raymond Christopher Jones, 34, of the 20o block of Fifth Street in Lothian, crashed about 11:30 p.m. on Southern Maryland Boulevard near Sands Road in Lothian.
Investigators say a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Jones was southbound on Southern Maryland Boulevard when the driver lost control. He was taken to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with critical injuries.
The primary cause of this crash appears to be Jones' failure to maintain control of the motorcycle, police said. Speed also appears to have been a contributing factor.
