Lothian Woman Killed After Being Struck By SUV: Police
Anne Arundel Co. police officers say a 37-year-old woman was walking in the road after dark wearing dark-colored clothes when she was hit.
LOTHIAN, MD — A pedestrian was killed after crossing West Bay Front Road Saturday. Karrie Kreitzer Tongue, 37, of Lothian was walking eastbound not far from Southern Maryland Boulevard when she stepped into the path of a Jeep Laredo driven by Edward Paul Bilo, 71, of Dunkirk.
According to an Anne Arundel County police report, the accident occurred at approximately 10 p.m. Tongue was wearing dark clothes and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers have ruled the cause of the crash to be pedestrian error and a toxicology test is being conducted on Tongue.
