Man Barricaded in Edgewater House About 15 Hours

Anne Arundel County Police took the man into custody about 9:30 Monday. No injuries have been reported.

A man is in custody after barricading himself inside an Edgewater house overnight and firing a gun, authorities say.

Anne Arundel County Police have been in the 3400 block of Twin Oak Drive in Edgewater since about 6 p.m. Sunday when they received reports that a gun was fired. A man was inside the dwelling by himself.

No injuries have been reported, police said about 8:30 a.m. Monday. The department said via Twitter just before 9:30 a.m. that the situation was resolved.

The immediate area of the barricade is blocked off for now.

Shots were possibly fired inside of the home, but they were not directed toward officers or others, police said.
