Man Stole Change, Wallet From Parked Cars In Edgewater: Police
Police reminded residents to lock their cars and take valuables out of vehicles after a man was charged with stealing from parked cars.

EDGEWATER, MD — A Lothian man was arrested on theft charges after he reportedly rummaged through parked cars in Edgewater, and took cash, a wallet and other items, according to Anne Arundel County Police. Officers were called about 4 p.m. Thursday to Highland Drive on a report of a man tampering with parked vehicles.
According to a police report, William Lee McCumber, 31, of the unit block of Patuxent Mobile Estates in Lothian, was found in the area. He reportedly had flashlights, gloves, a large amount of loose change, several pairs of sunglasses, and a wallet containing a driver’s license belonging to someone else in his possession.
McCumber was charged with two counts of theft, police said.

"We want to remind our citizens to remove valuables from vehicles and double check that your cars are locked. As always, we encourage those who see something, to say something," police said in a news release.
