
Michael “Ace” Dale Wells, 58, a lifelong resident of Annapolis, died Thursday, November 6 at Johns Hopkins Hospital after a 7 year battle with lymphoma/leukemia.
He was born on September 18, 1956 to Thelma and Leslie Wells, Sr. Ace attended Annapolis High School then began helping his father with the family business, Wells Home Improvements. He ended up taking over the family business and his son, Travis, began working with him. He took great pride in the fact that the family business is in its third generation of operation.
In his spare time, Mike enjoyed playing softball, collecting cars, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, hunting, eating and spending time with family and friends. He was a longtime member and president of the Iron Riders M.C.

Preceding him in death is one sister, Margaret Anne Dyke (Wells).
He is survived by his parents, his wife of nineteen years, Kimberly Ann Wells; three children, Samantha Lee Ann (Patrick), Leslie Christina “Christy” and Travis Michael Wells; three siblings, Leslie Calvert (Jane) Wells, Debra Mae (Jay) Kilian and Glenn Marvin (Stacey) Wells; one grandchild, Avery Jolene Curry. He is also survived by one grand-cat, Reese Wells and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.

A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 11 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12 at 12pm. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory are recommended to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 8600 LaSalle Rd., Baltimore, MD 21286 or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 10616 Beaver Dam Rd., S-6, Hunt Valley, MD 21030.
