Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Friendship Crash: Officials

The driver of a motorcycle was flown to an area hospital after colliding with a car in Friendship, fire department officials say.

FRIENDSHIP, MD — The driver of a motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was flown to an area hospital after colliding with a car in Friendship, Anne Arundel County Fire Department officials say.

Firefighters were called to the area of Solomons Island Road and Friendship Road about 9:55 p.m. Tuesday for a two-vehicle accident in which a motorcycle struck the side of a sedan. Paramedics asked a Maryland State Police medevac helicopter to land at nearby Tracey’s Elementary School.

Authorities say the 41-year-old male patient was flown to the Trauma Center at Prince George’s Hospital Center with injuries that were serious, but not believed life-threatening.
