Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Davidsonville Crash

A man driving a motorcycle went off the road near Patuxent River Road and Queen Anne Bridge Road Sunday, authorities said.

DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — A motorcycle driver was flown to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries suffered Sunday evening in a Davidsonville crash, according to officials.

The single-vehicle accident happened just after 6:45 p.m. Sunday near Patuxent River Road and Queen Anne Bridge Road.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department says its firefighters found a motorcycle had left the road and crashed in a ditch.

A Maryland State Police helicopter landed at Davidsonville Elementary School to fly the 32-year-old male driver to Shock Trauma.

His injuries were described by authorities as serious but not believed to be life-threatening.

Officials have not released the victim's name or address.
