Lothian Man Charged With Shooting Neighbor In Argument: Police

A Lothian man has been charged with assault for allegedly shooting his neighbor in the leg during an argument, police say.

LOTHIAN, MD — A Lothian man has been charged with assault for allegedly shooting his neighbor in the leg during an argument, police say. The men argued early Monday morning and Reginald Dewaun Barnett, 32, of the 5000 Block of Sands Road, reportedly fired several shots from a handgun, wounding his neighbor, Anne Arundel County Police say.

About 2 a.m. officers were called to the assault in the 5100 block of Sands Road in Lothian. The man who was injured told officers that during an argument with his neighbor, Barnett fired shots in his direction, striking him in the calf. The victim was treated and released from a local hospital.

Police on Tuesday identified Barnett as the accused shooter in the assault. An warrant was obtained and Barnett was arrested on Wednesday.
