William "Willie" Barry Whitcher, Sr., 57, lifelong resident of Edgewater, died suddenly on August 16. A Southern High School graduate, Willie worked for the Washington Gas Company for 32 years before retiring and becoming a realtor. A There will be a Memorial Mass at 12 p.m. on August 24 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville. Friend are invited to celebrate Willie’s life will following the service at 1PM at the Annapolis Elks Lodge, 2 Pythian Dr., Edgewater. Internment will be private. Donations in his memory can be sent to to Elks Youth Camp Barrett, PO Box 258, Crownsville, MD 21032 in lieu of flowers.

Darrell Henry, 73, of the Annapolis area, died August 6. Darrell attended St. John's College in Annapolis before attending law school at the University of Baltimore. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #622 in Edgewater and of the Annapolis Bar Association. He enjoyed gardening, music, baseball and spending time with his family.
