Overdue Boater Left Eastport, Coast Guard Asks For Help
The Coast Guard is searching for an elderly woman who left Eastport but didn't arrive at the Hartge Yacht Yard Tuesday.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Coast Guard is searching for an elderly woman who left Eastport but didn't arrive at the Hartge Yacht Yard Tuesday afternoon. Authorities say the missing boater is Eleanor Decesare, 77, who was expected to arrive at the yacht yard in Galesville by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Decesare's son contacted Coast Guard Sector Maryland - National Capitol Region watchstanders Tuesday night after he was unable to reach her and the yacht yard did not see her. He reported that she left from Eastport in Annapolis, aboard a 37-foot sailboat named Tamara, according to a news release.
Anyone with information that may help the Coast Guard locate Decesare or the sailboat is asked to call the sector command center at (410) 576-2693.
