Rotary Club of Southern Anne Arundel County Honors Students
Southern High School students representing the Interact Club, a Rotary sponsored high school service club, were recognized in December.
From Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County: Southern High School students representing the Interact Club, a Rotary sponsored high school service club, were recognized at the South County Rotary Club’s meeting on December 15. Present to make presentations was Anna-Mae Kobbe, Governor, Rotary District 7620. The Interact members had presented care packages for the children in the Backpack Food program at Shady Side Elementary School.

In her remarks, Kobbe recalled the Supreme Court decision on May 4, 1977, requiring service clubs to admit women, and the major impact it had on Rotary.
