Royal Farms Clerk Robbed At Gunpoint In Edgewater: Police

EDGEWATER, MD — The clerk at a Royal Farms store at 301 Londontowne Road in Edgewater was robbed at gunpoint Saturday, Anne Arundel County Police say. Just after midnight the armed robber approached the counter carrying a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.

Police say the clerk complied and the suspect fled toward Mayo Road. Officers searched the area with help from a police K-9 unit, but police did not locate the robber.

No injuries were reported from the armed encounter.

Police said the robber was a black man in his 40s wearing dark clothing.
