Rude Ranch Pet of the Week: Xena the Arrow Kitty Goes Home!

Although we usually post pics of pets looking for homes, this week we are happy to post that Xena, the arrow kitty has found a home!

Xena, a pretty orange tabby was a neighborhood stray that was found shot with a cross bow arrow.  It took dedicated animal control officers over two days to catch the frightened cat.  Anne Arundel Animal Control contacted Rude Ranch to see if we had a vet available that could help Xena (by the time Xena was captured the Animal Control Vet had already left for the day)  Fortunately, Dr  Eric Alexander of Belair vet was available and safely removed the arrow.

Fortunately, for Xena, the arrow missed all of her vital organs.  Before long, Xena was healthy enough to be spayed, vaccinated and start looking for her new home.

Many people were interested in adopting Xena.  However, because of her past experiences she was still skittish of many people meaning that she would need a home that was quiet.  Additionally she tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency virus (FIV) meaning she should be an only cat, or live with other cats with FIV.

Luckily for Xena, such a home was available... she will be living with a couple in Towson, MD.  As both are lawyers, we envision Xena will have her paws full helping them proof read legal briefs and supervising depositions for many years to come!
