Sandy Spring Bank In Edgewater Robbed: Police

EDGEWATER, MD — Anne Arundel County Police say a man robbed an Edgewater bank on Friday; the suspect is at large. The robbery was reported just after 1:30 p.m. at the Sandy Spring Bank, 116 Mitchell Chance Road.

Bank employees reported that a man wearing sunglasses entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The employee turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the robber fled from the bank. Several officers, including a canine unit, searched the area, but did not find the robber.

No weapon was implied or seen and no one was injured during the incident.
