School Vision And Hearing Screenings Schedule For January

Find dates that Anne Arundel County Public Schools will have vision and hearing screenings in January.

Vision and hearing screenings will be held this month in public schools for children in preschool, kindergarten, first and eighth grade, and for students new to Anne Arundel County schools. Special education students receiving speech therapy may also be recommended for screening by Anne Arundel County Department of Health staff.

Children who wear glasses should bring them to school on the day of the screening. Students in the following schools and programs will be screened in the remainder of January:
  • January 16 and 17: Germantown Elementary
  • January 17 and 18: Odenton Elementary
  • January 18: Mayo Elementary
  • January 18 and 19: Woods Child Development Center
  • January 19: Creative Beginnings Preschool
  • January 22: Edgewater Elementary
  • January 23: Lindale Middle
  • January 24: Severna Park High
  • January 24 and 25: Cape St. Claire Elementary
  • January 25: Pasadena Elementary
  • January 26: Goddard School of Pasadena, Harundale Presbyterian Weekday School, Joy in Learning Glen Burnie Center, Severn School
  • January 29: Annapolis Area Christian Lower School, St. Martin’s in the Field Day School
  • January 30: Annapolis Area Christian Upper School, The Judy Center at Belle Grove Elementary

If a potential deficiency is detected, a letter is sent to the parents or legal guardians informing them of the results.
