Each Lunar New Year, Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai Chi offers this low-cost self-defense workshop as a service to women and teen girls in our local community. We further “pass it forward” by donating 100% of the proceeds to a local shelter for female victims of domestic violence and their children.

This self-defense workshop will be geared for women & teen girls. We empower participants to protect themselves with these 3 levels of self-defense:

1) Avoidance - Learn basic skills for avoiding trouble and protecting yourself.

2) Escape - Learn escape techniques if you find yourself in a situation you are unable to avoid.

3) Fighting Back - Self-defense techniques will be covered for fighting back when you aren’t able to escape easily.

This workshop is great for all women and teens: high school students, students going off to college, moms, seniors, real estate agents, retail workers, teachers, etc.

Here’s what one mom has to say:
“My teenage daughter attended one of your self-defense workshops for women, and I believe it helped prevent her abduction. Two men tried to drag her into a truck, and she was able to escape using your techniques.”
