Seriously—St. Patrick's Day Wares for Sale Already?

We thought it was a little over the top to have Valentine's Day items on display before the 12th Day of Christmas. But St. Patrick's Day items were spotted Thursday at Safeway.

Is it me, or do holiday items seem to hit store shelves earlier and earlier? This year Christmas decor was on sale before Halloween was over. I even saw fresh cut Christmas Trees for sale in early November.

Can a live tree even make it through to Christmas if it is put up in November? I can't imagine cleaning up those needles.

But, the trend continues. Christmas is done and those items are packed up or drastically reduced in price to make way for Valentine's Day, and even St. Patrick's Day wares.
