Six Injured in Head-On Crash at Tracys Landing

A baby and a woman were flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital with serious injuries.

Six people -- including a six-month-old baby -- were injured in a head-on collision in Tracys Landing Saturday evening, officials said.

The crash was reported just after 8 p.m. near Solomons Island Road and Deale Road. Anne Arundel County firefighters found a driver trapped in the two-car, head-on collision.The trapped driver, a 25-year-old woman, was extricated in about 15 minutes.

A United States Park Police Helicopter landed at Tracys Elementary School and flew the driver and a 6-month-old girl to the adult and pediatric trauma centers at John Hopkins Hospital.

The driver had serious, but not believed life-threatening injuries, and the 6-month-old had injuries that were possibly serious.

Paramedics took four additional patients to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries.
