South River Boys Lacrosse State Title Run Put on Hold
The game was suspended Wednesday night due to lightning.

The South River boys lacrosse team will have to wait another night to try and seize its state title victory. Wednesday night’s game was suspended due to lightning.
With 1:11 left in the second quarter of the Class 4A/3A state title Wednesday night, officials had to suspend the game because there was lightning in the area. At the time the game was suspended, South River led 8-7.
The game is scheduled to resume at 6 p.m. Thursday night at UMBC. According to the MPSSAA website, ticket stubs will not be required for re-entry.
