South River Collecting Toys, Canned Foods

If you’re heading to Friday’s Seahawks football game, be sure to take along a new toy or canned good to help those less fortunate in the Edgewater community.

A Senior Night Toys for Tots collection will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at South River High School’s stadium.

You’re asked to bring new and unwrapped toys to the game against Northeast High School; all toys will be donated to the 2014 Toys for Tots campaign.

Collections are sponsored by the Marine Corps Reserve, South River’s varsity football team and the FCA Club.

Before the football game, canned food and cash donations will be accepted to benefit the high school’s Harvest for the Hungry Campaign sponsored by the DoSomething Club.
