South River finished its non-conference season 3-0, with a 6-2 victory. Junior Vinnie Venuti started the scoring at 14:40 in the first period; the goal was assisted by Andrew Martin. Loyola evened the score at 13:17 in the first. In the second period South River started to take control of the game with goals from Nick Kandra at 14:06 and Brendan McMullen at 7:33, (assisted by Luke Wildermuth and George Roberts). Loyola added one of their own at 3:36 in second to narrow the South River lead to 3-2 at the end of the second. The third period was all South River scoring three unanswered goals, Brendan McMullen scored his second of the game at 11:07, (assisted by Mike Williams and Destin Frantz). Adam Beyerlein scored the first of his two at 6:08, (assisted by Vinnie Venuti and Ethan Frantz) and at 4:24 (assisted by Vinnie Venuti and Ethan Frantz). South River outshot Loyola 57-15.
