Dear Parents:

As you may already have read, the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Arlotto, has provided guidelines for all high school graduations in Anne Arundel County. Although disappointed with the decision, I fully understand the reasoning behind it. Considering the restrictions still imposed by Governor Hogan and recommendations by the State Health Department, students’ health and well being were the first priority.
My graduation team has been planning a number of options for our graduation ceremony. I want to thank each parent and student who offered suggestions and help for our graduation. Now that we have a final decision, we will move forward with completing a digital graduation ceremony.

I will be working with senior class officers and the graduation team to plan a summer celebration. One of our options for graduation included using our stadium. I am confident we can develop a ceremony where each senior can receive their recognition in a live format. Please remember anything we plan will still be contingent upon the restrictions imposed as a result of the world-wide pandemic.
William T. Myers
