South River defeated MSHL rival Severna Park Friday evening 4-0. Ty Kaplow got the scoring started in first period at 6:50. South River added to their lead with a goal in the second period by Ethan Frantz at 14:25. South River played their strongest in the third period adding two more goals, the first by Mike Williams at 5:05 and then Britt Cave-Hawkins at 0:38.
The South River defense limited their opponent to 11 shot with goalie Zach Baxter recording his first shutout of the young season.
