South River School Plans Human Pink Ribbon

As part of Pink Out Week at the Edgewater high school, students are urged to take part in cancer fundraising.

Pink Out Week is under way at South River High School in Edgewater, where students are being urged to help support breast cancer research.

Members of the National Honor are selling breast cancer awareness merchandise all week in the cafeteria during NEST to raise money for continuing research.

And on Friday, Oct. 24, everyone is urged to wear a pink shirt and join NHS members in the stadium during NEST to create a human pink ribbon.

All proceeds benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in New York, where 91 cents of every dollar goes directly toward cancer research.
