SUV Rolls Over In Tracys Landing Crash, 2 Hurt

Two people were injured when an SUV and a car collided in Tracys Landing Tuesday night, fire department officials say.

TRACYS LANDING, MD — One driver was flown to a Baltimore trauma center Tuesday night for treatment after a two-vehicle crash in Tracys Landing. Anne Arundel County Fire Department officials say crews were called about 7:20 p.m. to the collision on Solomons Island Road near its intersection with Jewell and Fairhaven Roads.

The initial calls to 9-1-1 reported that one person was trapped in their vehicle after an SUV and a sedan collided. The SUV had rolled over several times and bystanders helped the driver out of the vehicle before firefighters arrived, authorities said.

A Maryland State Police helicopter was requested for the 20-year-old SUV driver. The helicopter landed at the nearby Traceys Elementary School and flew the woman to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with injuries that are believed to be not life-threatening.
