Teens Seriously Injured In Davidsonville Car Crash: Officials

A 16-year-old male was trapped in a car for at least 30 minutes after it left Riva Road and crashed into a tree.

DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — Two 16-year-olds were flown by helicopter to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center Jan. 18 after sustaining serious injuries in a car crash. An 18-year-old man was transported to the trauma center at UM Prince George's hospital Center with serious injuries sustained in that same crash. A 19-year-old woman sustained minor injuries but declined being taken to the hospital by officials.

According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, the 16-year-old male was trapped in the car for at least 30 minutes after the vehicle left the roadway along Riva Road and crashed into a tree. The other three occupants were able to exit the vehicle.
