Three Vehicles Involved In Harwood Collision

HARWOOD, MD -- Anne Arundel County firefighters responded to the scene of a three-vehicle accident near Solomons Island Road near Gray Beech Court June 30 at 7:25 a.m. One vehicle sideswiped a second vehicle before colliding head on with a third vehicle.

The 48-year-old man driving the sedan involved in the head-on collision was transported by Maryland State Police medevac helicopter to the trauma center at UM Prince George's Hospital Center with serious injuries. His 49-year-old female passenger was taken by ambulance to the trauma center at UM Prince George's Hospital Center also with serious injuries.

The 68-year-old woman driving the vehicle that was sideswiped before the head-on collision was transported by ambulance to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries. The 21-year-old man driving the second vehicle in the head-on collision did not have injuries requiring treatment at the hospital.
