Watch Final Out as South River Captures State Title

The South River baseball team defeated Catonsville High School 6-0 Friday night at Ripken Stadium to claim the Class 4A Maryland baseball title.

On Friday night, South River’s baseball team captured the school's first state baseball title with a 6-0 victory over Catonsville High School. The win sent head coach Ken Dunn into retirement with a championship.

As pitcher Scott Mitchell struck out a Catonsville batter for the final out of the night, the Seahawks stormed the mound for what Dunn called a “human flesh pile.”

YouTube user Gary Adornato captured the winning moment with this video.
