Powerball Player Wins $50K, Scratch-Off Competitor Collects $10K In Anne Arundel

A Powerball player won $50,000 in Shady Side last week. A scratch-off competitor collected $10,000 in Edgewater, the Maryland Lottery said.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Two lottery players won or claimed a combined $60,000 last week in Anne Arundel County.

The county's top prize of $50,000 came on a Powerball ticket bought last Thursday in Shady Side. That ticket was sold at the Shady Side Market, located at 1481 Snug Harbor Road. The prize was unclaimed as of Monday.

Another participant won $10,000 in Edgewater. They were playing a $100,000 Crossword 5th Edition scratch-off at South River Liquors, situated at 3204 Solomons Island Road. That victor claimed their prize last week.

Around the state, 39 players won or claimed prizes of at least $10,000 in the week ending Feb. 27. The Maryland Lottery paid nearly $32.3 million in prizes over those seven days.

The top prize was a $2 million Powerball ticket bought in Kensington.
