Woman Flown To Trauma Center After Car Crash Near Hanover
The 37-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the pickup, sustained critical injuries in the single-vehicle crash.
HARWOOD, MD — Anne Arundel County firefighters responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident near Harwood at 4648 Muddy Creek Road on Monday shortly after noon. Firefighters found a pickup truck that had left the roadway and went up an embankment where it struck a utility pole and rolled over.
According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, a 37-year-old woman was taken to the Carrie Weedon Science Center where the Maryland State Police medevac helicopter flew her to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with critical, life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup didn't need to be taken to the hospital, the department noted.
