World Rabies Day, Rabies Clinic

2013 Rabies Clinic at South Arundel Veterinary Hospital

SAVH will offer a Rabies clinic on Friday, September 27th from 8 AM to 6 PM.

• Rabies vaccines will be $15. Microchips will be offered at a discounted price of $20 (does not include registration)

• No appointment necessary- please enter and leave through the side door

• Everyone will be asked to fill out a Rabies Clinic Registration Form. Please take the time to do this prior to your visit. You can download it HERE.

• Only cash will be accepted.

• All dogs will receive a 3-year-vaccine if proof of previous Rabies vaccine is brought with you. Cats will be given a 1-year-Purevax Vaccine. The 3 year vaccine can be given if specifically requested. 

We recommend the Purevax 1-year vaccine for all cats. It is a non-adjuvanted vaccine. Adjuvants are an additive in vaccines that increase the immune response and may present potential risks to feline patients such as injection site reactions and chronic inflammation.

 A brief exam will be performed prior to the vaccination. Any animal that is coughing, sneezing or otherwise unhealthy will not be vaccinated per the doctor's discretion.
