Victor's Italian Ice: Open for a new season of sweet treats!

Victor’s Italian Ice begins its second season today in Eldersburg, Maryland. Italian Ice, Hand-Dipped Ice Cream, and Gelati are still be on the menu but have also been joined by snacks, candies and in the coming weeks Ice Shakes. Eric Ritchie, the local and independent owner of this unusual and stationary food truck, is proud to welcome again the residents of the Eldersburg/Sykesville area to this family oriented business.

Owner, Eric Ritchie, 25, grew up in Eldersburg, MD. His dream has always been to open his own business but not just anywhere: in his hometown, in the community he was been raised in. The idea of Victor's Italian Ice came from the numerous moments Eric shared with his Italian born Grandfather, eating Italian Ice while talking and relaxing during summertime. As he grew up with these precious moments, Eric Ritchie was also able to observe his Grandfather building numerous local businesses and he realized how important this type of establishment is for the community. As a tribute to his beloved Grandfather Victor, Eric decided to create a place where families and friends can share moments of happiness while enjoying the taste of premium Italian Ice and Ice Cream as he did during his youth.

In May 2012, Victor’s Italian Ice served its first scoops and brought to the Eldersburg/Sykesville area a new place where fun, splendid tastes and affordable prices become one! Every day, more than 15 flavors of Italian Ice are available such as Mango, Chocolate Chip, Coconut, Cookies n’ Cream, Lemon, Passion Fruit or Mint Chocolate Chip among others! A selection of Hand-Dipped Ice Cream flavors is also available and for those who cannot chose between these two treats, the Gelati combines the two in one! Meanwhile to ensure the family atmosphere, Eric Ritchie didn’t hesitate to ask his parents and younger brother to help him in this exciting adventure.

Now that winter is officially over, the team of this seasonal business is ready to scoop again all spring and summer long! On Monday, April 1st, the serving window of Victor’s Italian Ice reopened at 1pm with the same tasty selection of Italian Ice but also Hand- Dipped Ice Cream, Gelati, and Candies! Furthermore, every week, a “Flavor of the Week” of Italian Ice will surprise young and old for a limited time. Tables and chairs will be available in a large green space to guaranty to each customer a sweet moment of happiness. Finally, Victor’s will expand its service this year with catering, to let you enjoy your favorite flavors of Italian Ice wherever you want.
