Springfield Presbyterian Church announces the next year of concerts for our series. This is our 17th season of holding these concerts in our sanctuary. The concerts are on Sunday afternoons at 3:00 pm, four times a year and are followed by a bountiful reception. Before each concert, we will advertise with a flyer particular to that concert, but below is a complete list for the year to come.

March 1, 2026 Eric Byrd Trio (Jazz Ensemble)

Piney Run Park

The Piney Run Council is pleased to offer a new basket weaving class led by Joan Betzold of Partnership Crafts by Joan Betzold. Students in this class will make 2 bird's nest baskets that can be given as gifts or used in your own home. This is a beginner's class. The cost for this class is $35 and you may sign up at the link below. 35th ANNUAL STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL, Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 9 am to 4 pm to be held at the Gamber Fire Dept Carnival Grounds, 3838 Niner Rd, Finksburg, MD 21048. Fresh Strawberries, games, pony rides, entertainment, silent auction, a variety of foods, crafts &amp; antique vendors, and strawberry shortcake. Annual event sponsored by Messiah Lutheran Church. Springfield Presbyterian is excited to welcome The Satyr Hill Band back to our concert series this year.The band is a versatile five-piece Blue Grass acoustic group with four lead singers and classic instrumentation of banjo, fiddle, guitar, bass and mandolin.They have been together as a group for many years and will give us a wonderful, toe-tapping afternoon of music.Following the concert there will be a reception with lots of delicious treats.Please come and bring your family and friends!

Join us for another basket weaving class led by master weaver Joan Betzold of Partnership Crafts by Joan Betzold. Joan designed this basket for a student who had little girls with Barbie dolls that kept breaking plastic storage containers when their legs and arms would get stuck. This basket is great for storage, filing on your desk, kitchen clutter, etc. Students will learn how to make internal handles, solid bottom with crow's feet, as well as fundamental weaving skills. This basket is approximately 12” x 15” x 5”.
