CALL FOR ENTRIES - Environmental Lens Festival

The Environmental Lens Festival is co-sponsored by the Piney Run Recreation & Conservation Council and porecoproductions.com

New for 2017, the first annual Environmental Lens Festival co-sponsored by Piney Run Recreation & Conservation Council and porecoproductions.com The Call for Entries is now open and submissions must be at the Piney Run Park office (30 Martz Road, Sykesville, MD) no later than Friday, April 28th by 4pm.

There are two submission categories:

Film guidelines - Must be 20 minutes or less in length
Must be submitted on DVD or USB
$20 per submission
Photo guidelines - Sizes are either 8"x 10" or 11"x 14"
Description must be typed and not to exceed 8.5"x 11" format
$10 per submission
All content must be "environmental themed" and be the original work(s) of the content creator. All standard copyright laws apply. Material must be family friendly; no profanity, vulgar themes, or excessive violence. Please provide the information about where the content was produced.

Age Guidelines:

Filmmakers and photographers will submit their works in either the 17-years-old and younger (youth) category or the 18-years-old and older (adult) category.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL: The Environmental Lens Festival showcases films and photography capturing stories about the natural world and agricultural landscapes.

FILM GENRES: Shorts, documentaries, drama, fiction, animation, comedies, and narratives are welcome. Films must be 20 minutes or less.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Photographer must include up to one paragraph description to be displayed with the photo.

ELIGIBILITY AND LICENSE:

Each film and photo entrant agrees that by submitting an entry to the Environmental Lens Festival is done without compensation to the entrant and without any further approval or review, a non-exclusive, royalty free license to (1) show the entry at Piney Run Park, and (2) use the name, picture, likeness and information about the entrant and the entry and its actors for advertising and publicity purposes in connection with the Environmental Lens Festival whether done so in print or electronic media, television, video, film, radio, internet or other media.
