The Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County wishes to
honor local individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to our
community’s health. The Partnership is now seeking nominations for the Dr. Janet W. Neslen
Award, the Karen Feroli Community Champion Award, and the Worksite Wellness Award.

  • The Dr. Janet W. Neslen Award recognizes an individual or organization in Carroll County for work that improves access to health care. This award was established in 2002 by The Partnership and is named for the late Dr. Janet W. Neslen, a distinguished advocate for health care access for uninsured and underinsured residents of Carroll County.
  • The Karen Feroli Community Champion Award recognizes one person each year who acts in an outstanding way to strengthen our community’s health. This award is named in honor of the late Karen Kappes Feroli, R.N., former Executive Director of Carroll Home Care and Carroll Hospice and past member of The Partnership’s Board of Directors. Karen’s spirit of caring and her life of service continue to encourage and inspire others.
  • The Worksite Wellness Award recognizes the exceptional achievements of a business or organization in implementing employee health promotion and wellness programs. It acknowledges innovative, measurable efforts to facilitate and encourage employee health and ensure healthy work environments.
