The Board of Education of Carroll County will hold its regular
monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. at the Board of
Education offices, located at 125 North Court Street in Westminster. The
Carroll County Teacher of the Year and the recipients of the Rita Board Dowd
Awards for Outstanding School Administrators will be announced at this meeting.
Due
to social distancing guidelines, some participants will be attending virtually,
and the public will not be able to attend the meeting with the exception of
those who wish to speak during Citizen Participation.

Citizen Participation is scheduled
on the agenda for 5:15 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. Speakers will be allowed
three minutes to address the Board. Citizens who wish to speak must adhere to
the guidelines outlined below. Staff will be available to assist speakers and
signs will be posted.

The Board of Education will continue taking public comment through
the CCPS website (click on the Board of Education tab and Members) or through
the US mail. Persons who wish to have their comments posted on the Public
Comments page of the website should indicate so at the beginning of their
email. Comments must be received by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the Board meeting
in order to be posted prior to the meeting.

The meeting also will be broadcast live on CETV Channel 21.The agenda and back-up materials for the meeting will be available on the school system’s website by close of business on the Monday before the meeting.
