County Public Schools will be hosting its 2nd annual Navigating
Difficult Waters event for families and students on Wednesday, March 31, 2021,
from 6:30 to 8:45 pm. This year’s theme is “Mental Wellness Resources.” For the
safety of all participants, the sessions will be presented in a virtual platform
through Microsoft Teams.
Topics
of the break-out sessions will include resiliency, stress management, and
student engagement. The keynote speaker, Robert Hackenson from Dynamic
Influence, will present “When Life Gets Hard: How You Can Manage
Stress and Become Resilient.” Presentations will also feature community
partners and local government officials.

The
event will also feature “Sources of Strength, “one of the first suicide
prevention programs that uses Peer Leaders to enhance protective factors associated
