Carroll County Infant Death Under Investigation
A baby died over the weekend in Westminster, Maryland State Police report.

Authorities are investigating the death of an infant in Carroll County over the weekend.
The child’s body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy, according to Maryland State Police.
Davion Harrison, a two-month-old who lived in the unit block of Charles Street in Westminster, was brought to the Carroll Hospital Center, where he was pronounced deceased Sunday morning, according to a statement from police.

At 9:30 a.m. Sunday, the Westminster Police Department was called to the hospital for a report of a deceased infant, and at 11 a.m., homicide detectives from Maryland State Police responded to help with the investigation, according to the statement.
The infant’s mother told police she drove the baby to the hospital after a neighbor had tried CPR and the baby was unresponsive, the statement said. Officials said there were no outward signs of trauma.

An autopsy will determine the cause and manner of death, according to officials, who continue to investigate.
