Schools are closed for students; school offices and central offices will open at 10 a.m., Carroll County Public Schools officials announced Tuesday morning.

- Carroll County government offices will open at noon due to inclement weather and a water main break in the area.
- Carroll County senior centers will open at 10 a.m.
- McDaniel College will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17. A revised class schedule is in effect.
- The Resources Recover Park (northern landfill) will open at 9 a.m.
Transportation officials advised citizens not to travel Tuesday if possible.
“Stay home,” said State Highway Administration spokesman Charlie Gischlar, just before 5 a.m. He noted pavement temperatures were low (in the teens), snow was continuing to fall and roads may be icy.
