Carroll County Under Winter Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory, including Carroll County, calling for a wintry mix Sunday that could make roads slippery through Monday morning.

The winter weather advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. Sunday to 8 a.m. Monday for the following areas:

• Carroll County
• Northern Baltimore County (Reisterstown, Cockeysville, Parkton)
• Frederick County
• Northwest and southeast Harford County (Jarrettsville, Aberdeen)
• Northwest Howard County (Lisbon)
• Northwest Montgomery County (Germantown, Damascus)

A wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain will begin to fall late Sunday afternoon, changing to rain before Monday morning, the weather service reports.

Less than 1 inch of snow and a glaze of ice may accumulate, according to the National Weather Service.

Untreated roads may become icy, according to the advisory, which stated drivers should be ready for slippery roads and limited visibilities.
