Eldersburg Offers Locals Everything From History To Art Festivals
Every town has its traditions. Check out these fun facts about what makes Eldersburg so special.

Eldersburg is a place like no other. And whether you grew up here, recently moved to the area or you’re just an occasional visitor, you know that Eldersburg has its own special traditions and history that make it so unique.
A few things to know:
- Eldersburg is home to Piney Run Park, a 550-acre nature preserve that offers scenic hiking trails, fishing and kayaking opportunities. The park also boasts a nature center and hosts various events throughout the year, such as live music concerts and craft fairs.
- Eldersburg is a short stop away from the annual Maryland Wine Festival, which takes place at the Carroll County Farm Museum. The festival features over 150 wines from around the state, live music and food vendors. It's a great opportunity to sample some of Maryland's best wines and enjoy a fun day out with friends.
- Eldersburg is home to the Liberty Reservoir, a popular spot for fishing and boating. The reservoir is surrounded by scenic hiking trails and visitors can enjoy stunning views of the water and the surrounding landscape.

The council also hosts the annual PEEPshow, a popular exhibition featuring creative dioramas made from marshmallow Peeps.
