Eldersburg Under Winter Weather Advisory

Roads may be treacherous in Carroll County, according to the National Weather Service, which issued a winter weather advisory for the area from 9 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday.

A winter weather advisory means that snow, sleet or freezing rain may make travel conditions hazardous, the weather service reported.

Roads may be covered by a “glaze of ice” and up to one-half inch of snow, according to the advisory.

Carroll County Public Schools announced that schools would open two hours late.

In addition to Carroll, the advisory applies to northern Baltimore, northwest Harford, Frederick and northwest Montgomery counties.
