Eldersburg Under Winter Weather Advisory

A winter weather advisory is in effect for Carroll County, including Eldersburg, from 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3.

The National Weather Service issued the winter weather advisory because sleet and freezing rain could make travel hazardous; drivers should be extra cautious Saturday on sidewalks and roads, which may be slippery. Visibility may also be limited.

Sleet will start early Saturday, transition to freezing rain by daybreak and continue until the middle of the day, based on the advisory, which said temperatures would be in the low 30s.

Little to no accumulation is expected in Eldersburg, according to the forecast.
