Free Concert, Kent Courtney, October 12, 2014

Springfield Presbyterian Church welcomes Kent Courtney for our next concert set for Sunday, October 12th at 3:00pm. Kent has many talents to share with us! He is a musician, actor and author and will be delivering an inspiring message through his music and stories to recount the history of these United States in the first half of the 1800s. These critical years leading up to the Civil War included the founding of Springfield Presbyterian Church in 1836. Maryland played a pivotal part in events that were to shape our country’s future and Kent Courtney will highlight those points with music.

We will collect a free-will offering to support the concert series and we will host a reception with lots of good food following the concert.

Kent Courtney has toured throughout these United States, Canada, Mexico and Belize and is internationally known for his expertise on music of the 1800’s and the historical genres leading up to that era, especially the Renaissance.
