The two-story stone building is for sale at the price of $450,000 and sits along Sykesville’s Main Street. It was built in 1865. The church has owned the building since 1949.

The building was built by Dr. Orrelana H. Owings as a store for his son-in-law and was sold to John McDonald in 1868, who also used it as a store.
In 1868, the building survived the flood that destroyed most of Sykesville.

The Sykesville Fire Department bought the building in 1939 and used it for 10 years. On the south end of the building, there's an area where the garage doors for the fire trucks were cut into the wall.
Jim Blaney from Reality World Unlimited is handling the sale of the building. The property is available for quick possession and the church would like to rent part of the building until its new parish house is built.
