Integrace Institute Seeks Dementia Family Caregivers for CHAMPIONS Study
Participants invited to complete a brief pre-screening call and online survey about care management decisions and treatment goals
The Integrace Institute invites local families who are caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia to participate in a survey it is conducting in partnership with the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.
The CHAMPIONS (Caregivers Sharing Meaningful Priorities for Patients) Study is designed to help family caregivers with the overwhelming number of decisions they need to make for their loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. Information collected in the study will be used to inform providers, advocacy groups, and state agencies about the unmet priorities and goals of family caregivers across the state of Maryland.
Eligible CHAMPIONS participants must be adults who:

- Are the primary caregiver (or surrogate) of a person diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease or a Related Dementia (ADRD);
- Have legal authority over health care decisions for this person.
Caregivers who join the study will be asked to complete a brief pre-screening call, followed by a 45-minute online survey on care management decisions and treatment goals. All participants will receive a $20 gift card for their participation and time.
