Jogger Missing in Carroll County: Sheriff

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a man who officials say is from out of town and has not returned from a morning jog in the Woodbine area.

Nathan Birmingham, 31, left Leroy Drive near John Pickett Road at approximately 8:30 a.m. Sunday and has not returned, according to the sheriff’s office.

He was planning to go for a three-hour jog and may be running on trails through woods, the sheriff’s office reported. Birmingham is an avid jogger who normally returns at times he has discussed, the report said.

Since Birmingham is visiting his grandparents, who live on Leroy Drive, officials said he is not familiar with the area.

Authorities are actively searching for Birmingham, who has been identified as a critical missing person.

He was last seen wearing a black jogging outfit with a yellow stripe and black running shoes, according to the sheriff’s office. He is described as a white man who is 6’1” and 200 pounds.
