Man with Bomb-Hoax Briefcase Said He Was Under Duress: Police
The investigation into suspicious briefcase at PNC Bank is ongoing, police said.

Police continue to investigate a bomb threat hoax in Lisbon Thursday afternoon.
At 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, a man went into the PNC Bank in the 15900 block of Old Frederick Road, where he talked to an employee and opened his briefcase, revealing what looked like a possible explosive, police said.

The bank was evacuated, while the briefcase remained inside, and roads around the bank were temporarily closed as the bomb squad investigated, according to a report from the Howard County Police Department.
The man told police he had been forced to take the briefcase into the bank by a stranger whom he picked up in Baltimore and who proceeded to steal his car, the report said.

Police said Friday that detectives were continuing to look into the circumstances and charges had not been filed.
